Course Overview
The Design and Technology (DT) subejct provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the design process and the practical application of technological solutions. Through this subject, students will develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and hands-on skills that are essential for success in the 21st-century workforce, with a strong emphasis on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) principles.
The Design and Applied Technology (DAT) is an elective subject offered at the senior secondary level (Secondary 4 to 6) in Hong Kong. Jointly developed by the Curriculum Development Council and the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority, the DAT curriculum is recommended for use in schools by the Education Bureau of the Hong Kong SAR Government. This subject aims to provide students with a comprehensive education in technology and design, emphasizing both theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
